Flashers, Fuzzies and Teenage Angst

My friend Kent and I in Grade 10.I got an email from an old teacher of mine today, Mr Hill. It was such a buzz to be back in contact with him after almost 20 years. He was an awesome teacher – and I have no doubt that he still is – and it got me thinking about all the classrooms I wandered through during my schooling. When you think about it, kids often spend more time with their teachers than their own family. If they get a good teacher, it’s great. If they get a bad one it can be shocking. I like to think that everyone had at least one great teacher they can look back on and appreciate. Sadly, I know that’s not always the case (just ask my brother, Dallas). I was lucky. There are three teachers who deserve a special mention for playing important yet varied roles in my life. (more…)
