OK…remember I’m just starting out. But here are some my successes so far:
Picture Books
There’s an Elephant in My Loungeroom – accepted for publication by Innovative Resources, April 2008. Will be in print in February 2009. This is a therapeutic picture book designed for use by pscyhologists, counsellors and teachers in their work with children whose parents suffer addiction issues. Sad news. Due to the economic downturn and a shift in focus, this book won’t be published after all. I really do need to find another home for it. Now for the good news…
Fish Don’t Need a Snorkel is coming out in February 2010! I’ve signed a contract with Stanborough Press (UK) for this one and also for..
When I Look at You: A book about feelings. Haven’t got a release date on this one yet.
Samuel’s Kisses has been accepted by an Australian publisher. I’m not going to name names just yet as I haven’t gone to contract at this stage. The publisher is still sourcing an illustrator. Hopefully, this sentimental favourite of mine will be out early next year. (This one was also shortlisted in the 2008 Ipswich District Teacher Librarian Writing Competition.)
